Currently managing a portfolio of properties with an aggregate value of nearly $1 billion, Scott first began his career at Eastway Construction concentrated in the end-to-end rehabilitation and revitalization of affordable housing properties citywide. In addition to leading the reclamation process for roughly 5,000 units between Greater New York, Scott sharpened his management acumen by working closely with Palen Management Corp. to help care for HUD-subsidized properties across the tri-state area.Job-trained with both feet on the ground, Scott personally oversees the daily management of more than 4,200 Mitchell Lama and Project-Based Section 8 units to this day — all while managing the continued expansion of Metropolitan Realty Group’s portfolio. It’s a philosophy of engagement and personal investment that bears fruit in the sincere, lasting relationships he’s developed with tenants and building employees year after year.In turn, his greatest pride rests in the successes that don’t show up in the balance sheet. Active in many charities including UJA, the Sid Jacobson JCC, Riverside Hawks and the Henry Kaufman Camp Grounds, Scott’s heritage and personal experience guides his philanthropic work. Over the years, he’s worked tirelessly to establish college-readiness, financial literacy and application assistance programs for families that live in both MRG buildings and their surrounding areas. Since 2013, his efforts have proudly helped 500+ students navigate the path to college, proudly passing on the same value set and push for self-advocacy he was fortunate to inherit himself.
