Optimized product (NXT-2) to remove arsenic from drinking water for municipal water utilities by changing the formulation to increase surface are by 30% and reduce density by 25% improving arsenic adsorption. Initiated study to regenerate NXT-2 in situ to extend product life.Increased yield 10 fold by taking lab synthesis of NXT-2 from glassware to semi-batch process. Introduced static mixer to process which greatly reduced product variance.Improved Quality Control. Developed capacity test to prescreen NXT-2’s arsenic removal effectiveness. Results achieved in one tenth the time compared to previous test (SRSSCT). Low performing lots identified prior to pilot plant or customer installations protecting NXT-2’s reputation in the industry.
