Berman currently serves on the faculty of the USC Gould School of Law. She previously served in law schools in California, New York, and Florida, and as a director at the AccessLex Center for Legal Education Excellence, where she created grant funding programs, directed research initiatives to assist law schools and law students nationwide, and founded a quarterly publication dedicated to the exchange of evidence-based ideas about the bar exam and legal education. Berman, a pioneer in distance learning having served for 15 years on the faculty of a fully online law school, has served as an ABA fact finder for law schools seeking hybrid variances, and she co-chairs the biannual Denver Online & Hybrid Learning Pedagogy conference.Berman’s areas of expertise include Bar Exam Success; Hybrid and Online Learning; and Student Success, Motivation, Time Management, Test Anxiety, Grit and Resiliency. Her courses included criminal law, torts, contracts, criminal procedure, community property, evidence, remedies, and legal writing. Berman received her J.D. from the UCLA School of Law, and graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in Political Science and French Literature from the University of California at Santa Barbara. She is bilingual in English and French.
