Strategic GTM Advisor | Board Member | VC & PE | Senior Defense Official & Diplomat Sean Cantrell is an American tech executive with broad professional experience spanning the defense and tech industries, U.S. government agencies, and international governments. As the Director of International Government Engagement for Maxar Intelligence, he advises Maxar’s Executive Leadership Team and Regional VPs on interacting with the governments of international partners, as well as all aspects of engaging with United States Government agencies that oversee and approve international Security Cooperation.He has built lasting international relationships, by living and working in Europe, South Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, and Africa. His roles have been as diverse as leading global operations teams of 600+, to conducting cross-table negotiations with foreign leaders on behalf of the U.S. Secretary of Defense. He is also proficient in Russian, Spanish, Serbo-Croatian, Romanian, and Czech languages. Other professional experiences include serving as the chief operating officer for the USAF Special Projects office where he oversaw the rapid R&D and proof of concept MVP production of advanced tech components for the USAF and DoD. Additionally, he was a Defense Ventures Fellow, where he was embedded with a New York VC focused on Seed through Series A funding for dual-use tech start-ups.
