Aedes is the national organisation promoting the interests of practically every social housing organisation in the Netherlands, on all possible fronts. The 430 members - private not-for-profit social organizations - manage 2.4 million dwellings in the Netherlands. They invest around 13 billion euro annually in housing, public purpose building and liveable neighbourhoods.As head of the EU office of Aedes in Brussels I am responsible for safeguarding the interests of social housing organisations at EU level. This involves monitoring, networking and acting on relevant EU policy making. Especially in the fields of Economic governance, State aid rules, social cohesion, building regulation, energy policies, public procurement, as well as EU projects and funding.
