Advised by Dr. Lauren Gardner at the JHU Center for Systems Science and Engineering, using data science and systems engineering to work on a range of complex, interdisciplinary problems with the goal of understanding and improving societal systems. Worked to develop, maintain, and deploy machine learning models for real-time epidemiological forecasting of COVID-19 cases and deaths for the US COVID-19 Forecast Hub. Current research focus is on ethical implementation of AI at scale for uses such as decision-making and resource allocation. Worked in the Microsoft Digital organization, providing engineering and support for the foundational team's instance of ServiceNow and related systems integrations/human interaction workflows. Built solutions on microservices architecture which reflected best practices for workflows based on Azure functions, logic apps, event hub, and API management.
