As president of SMSBF I worked to reposition the organization and increase membership, partnerships and sponsorship opportunities, member engagement and create added value for it's members. The goal of a complete rebrand, new website forum and increased marketing efforts was to increase the membership numbers for 2013, engage and increase current member activity and increase SMSBF's overall participation in the Southeast Michigan business community. During my term as president SMSBF saw increased engagement not only with it's members, but also with the community and partner organizations. The addition of monthly networking events, use of social media, a new website and guest bloggers offered effective new avenues for prospective and long term members to connect.

• Responsible for all aspects of opening New Orleans Field office• Accountable for office operations including staff training and management.• Administered all office (payroll, petty cash, client relations, operations) and program budgets, including a $100,000.00 annual program sponsorship budget.• Implemented lifestyle relationship marketing programs for major tobacco, liquor, soft drink and music/entertainment companies.• Duties included: coordinating special events, concerts, sampling, demographic research and collection of information for use in a database, and marketing (PR, advertising placement, creations and distribution of printed materials).• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining nightlife venues for sampling, promotions, and special events. Negotiated contracts, sponsorship dollars and maintained client/venue relations.
