Ngā mihi mahana! Sarah-Jane is Leadership Development Senior Advisor for the NZ Defence Force Institute for Leader Development. The Institute researches and delivers leadership development programmes through to the highest levels pan-NZDF. We are custodians of the NZDF's renowned Leadership Framework. Participants on the Institute's programmes learn about: self awareness, leadership strengths & challenges, reputation, own impact on the system & unique value of their leadership, mental models, behaviours, resilience, balance, culture, leading change. Using a bi-cultural lens and based on core values that are applicable in any organisation.Sarah-Jane is a former director of Ahi Text Solutions publishing consultancy, former trustee and Chair on the Naenae College Board and Rata Street School Board, a former parliamentary research unit manager, ministerial adviser and researcher, and has served on the board of Orpheus Choir of Wellington where she is still a choir member. S-J is currently a member of the NZ National Council of Women. Previously she has served as president of the local Playcentre (early childhood education co-operative), including involvement at Association level, and has had articles published in Interface and The Publisher. S-J holds a Master of Business Studies with distinction in Management from Massey University, and a BA Hons (1st) in Politics from Victoria University of Wellington. Whānau and friends and community are the centre for S-J. A passion for learning is balanced with a love of running, tramping, getting into the bush - and coffee!
