Hearing this sentence has become one of the most influential points in my life - though I only realized this 15 years later. Back at the time, I was just fascinated.Since then, I gained an abundance of knowledge, stepping in the direction of mechanical engineering, then into controls and applied math, and finally into robotics and artificial intelligence to unravel the mysteries, not just of milking robots, but of all kinds of intelligent systems.Though my academic pursuits were initially inspired by fathoming technology (like the milking robot), my endeavor is incomplete without the creative incorporation of artificial intelligence’s idiosyncrasies to yield innovative research. In this manner, I applied a deep learning computer vision approach to nondestructive ultrasonic evaluation during my time as a graduate research assistant at Georgia Tech, using CNNs for coating thickness prediction.Now, I consider myself as a roboticist, combining an expansive background in machine learning and deep learning/computer vision as well as NLP and software development with strong roots in engineering (e.g. (nonlinear-)mechanics and advanced control). I am developing intelligent systems and interacting agents in various environments at the intersection of computer science and engineering.
