Owns and leads Waverley which provides a range of strategic and hands-on support for individuals, organisations and companies to make their voice not just heard but listened to where it matters. Founded in 2013, the business is based in Yorkshire but works across the UK with a strong record of engagement in written communications, broadcast and social media finding the right audience. It develops and executes communications, digital and public affairs strategies for schools, charities, public bodies, sports teams, schools and charities and has thrived over ten years during a challenging time for business. Waverley also specialises in crisis communications and were heavily involved in the response to the Covid-19 pandemic working with North Yorkshire Police, the Local Resilience Forum and Police, Fire & Crime Commissioner.

Appointed to be a non-executive, independent lay member of the new NHS Calderdale Cares Partnership, part of the West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board to play a key role in bringing constructive, independent and respectful challenge to the plans, aims and priorities of the Committee. Focused on reducing health inequalities, developing a sustainable health and care system, and working to develop improved communications with communities to help empower them to be healthy and independent.

Member of the Trustee Board of the Bailiff Bridge Scout Group, the local group of The Scout Association where we live and attended by my son, to support the volunteer team who provide the programme for young people, lead on recruiting new volunteers, connecting with the community, making financial decisions and ensuring all safeguarding responsibilities are upheld and followed at all times.
