Working for the CMS Group starting as a Service Desk Analyst, moving up to a Senior Service Desk Analyst a now Technical Services Consultant (3rd line), my duties involve all aspects of IT support, from desktop to enterprise level system. I have gained further knowledge in supporting software such as Microsoft Server, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Office 2007, Microsoft SQL Server and Citrix Metaframe 3.5 to the latest XenApp.

my duties include assisting in the management of team members, prioritising and organising the faults. I also monitor telephone system and queues making sure calls are dealt with in a timely fashion. I also create procedural documentation and have been responsible for training new members of staff.I also take support calls. This involves assisting users to repair software faults and minor hardware issues, configuring new equipment and diagnosing hardware malfunctions on the majority of the Microsoft Windows operating systems.I have also written several small intranet sites to make day-to-day operation easier. The intranet sites have been written in HTML, PHP and MySQL.

Working for a local computer manufacturing company I was employed to build and repair computer systems. I covered all aspects of PC maintenance and assembly of workstations and servers. I also covered the warehouse booking in stock and allocating stock to machines. I also used Sage Line 50 and Sage Job Costing. Whist working for Prospro I also used Microsoft Access to write simple databases for everyday tasks such as logging of faulty items. I also visited customer homes and business premises to repair and install computers, networking (including 10 base 2, 10 base T wiring, routers, switches, hubs and firewalls) and peripherals.

As a field engineer my duties involved repairing faulty servers and desktop computers, identifying and fixing software errors on medical systems. I traveled up and down the UK to different doctors surgeries. I also performed repairs using remote control software such as PC Anywhere and VNC to fix errors from the office.
