Creation a new IT platform within the air–gapped network of Alliander, using OpenShift (Kubernetes) and a clearly designed pipeline starting from build infrastructure in a regular IT network and transporting the resulting artefacts (typically container images) to the air–gapped network using several security and quality gates.Started with the creation of an OT-CMDB and researching ways to aid teams to enable storage of active state data within an OT-CMDB regarding different assets within the Operational Technology realm.Developed and maintained tooling for the automation of deployment and maintenance of distribution automation devices consisting of RTU’s, modems and sensory devices.Transformed file sharing integration pattern solutions in to streaming integration pattern solutions, allowing SCADA systems to communicate measurements and state from the Air-gapped environment to the IT-environments on a much faster pace, creating a more stable stream of measurements of (distribution) electricity and gas measurements. Also created more opportunities to find energy fraud, typically performed by illegal drug production.

Worked at Alliander as Application Process Conslutant, setting up a new IT environment within the Operational Technology realm. Eventually, my transition from Het ConsultancyHuis to an internal Alliander employee is based on this work.Before that, started the first development of a modern API methodology to perform Spatial analysis on the Spatial assets and connections between those Spatial assets using the data extracted from NRG (based on Smallworld GIS) in an Oracle DBMS.Worked at Topicus as Software Engineer to develop software related to mental health usage. It was a trying but definitely positive period where I learned much about Agile software development, and create software which in itself is agile to respond on changes in law and regulation regarding mental health.Worked at KPN to upgrade an application for Fiber-Optic registration using Google Maps to ESRI ArcGIS (that is, the Javascript version thereof).

While working at Alliander as Senior Software Consultant, implemented an ERP system for Realworld Systems based on the Odoo platform as Project Manager. As it was a first for Realworld Systems to use Cloud services, in this case Amazon AWS, also developed a deployment strategy with the Python Boto3 implementation.At our customer Alliander, aided in the implementation of sketch-digitization within NRG (based on Smallworld) as part of the Onderhoud op Orde (Good Maintenance) programme.

As Solutions Consultant helped with the implementation of Realworld Diagnostics, especially did the conversion of the capability to use a single database (Oracle) to be able to use more databases (Oracle, MySQL), also converted the scripts used to create the database to use a versioning framework (Liquibase). The suite was implemented using both GE Smallworld's MagikSF as well as Java.Further consolidated the implementations of Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Microsoft Dynamics NAV, in the end merging them into a new ERP including project management and account management capabilities.Created a conversion tool from Smallworld into SpatiaLite database to be able to be used by a ported and highly adapted version of QGis running on Android 1.2 using QtQuick for gas leak reconnaissance. This was necessary as Gas leak mechanics are often confronted with violence and fear, and needed a solution that they could quickly use.

As Application Developer migrated the ArcFM-UT solution of Alliander back to Smallworld, creating NRG, as part of the NewNRG project. Also modernized the WebGIS environment to use more modern AJAX principles and a proper map solution using OpenLayers. Additionally created a performance boost for requesting pre-rendered map tiles by chaining a reverse-proxy, a caching Servlet and Smallworld as backend provider.As Application Developer developed the WebGIS platform at ContiNUON (now Alliander) using hybrid technologies JavaScript, MagikSF and ColdFusion by extracting data from an Oracle DBMS.
