About Sjoerd V.
I am a skilled data scientist with a PhD and 7 years of research experience. I have excellent project design and management skills that resulted in 9 high-impact publications. I am an expert in statistical analysis including behavioural, environmental, and EEG (sleep) data. I write and develop analysis pipelines to batch-analyse large datasets in R and MatLab by using machine learning techniques. I also have experiences in teaching and supervision and coached more than 15 students. I am open for career opportunities that are meaningful, challenging, and have a direct social impact.Outside research, I am actively involved in event organisation with the young scientist committee of the Dutch Sleep research society (NSWO). I like to volunteer with animals, hike in nature, and play music on Saxophone and piano.
