Lead Engineer responsible for the engineering and delivery of the turret mooring systems for 3 new FLNG facilities for the Browse gas fields in Australia, including general project management and design and analysis of turrets (structural/mechanical), mooring lines, chain connectors, weathervaning bearing system, suction anchors, construction engineering, hook-up and installation engineering. Technical responsibility for a scope of approximately $2.5 billion in CAPEX. In addition responsible for the project-wide Naval Engineering scope (hydrodynamic analyses, global motions, model testing) and supporting other engineers on hydrodynamic topics (risers, offloading analyses, installation studies). Focal point in the project for the interpretation and application of Metocean Design Conditions. Technical Authority (TA3) for turrets, moorings and hydrodynamic analyses. International assignment of 1 year in Paris as lead engineer responsible for the technical delivery of the Offshore Structures pre-FEED scope of Browse FLNG, covering 3 new Prelude type FLNG facilities, including general project management, Turret Mooring System, Naval Engineering, Hydrodynamics, Water Intake Riser, Side by Side offloading, Suction Anchors, Weight Management. Technical responsibility for a scope of approximately $3.0 billion in CAPEX. Shell company representative at the Technip offices in Paris.
