The plant is licensed to produce 12500 barrels of bitumen per day on annual average. Currently use both cold and thermal recovery techniques to extract bitumen.Operated high pressure pumps, blowers, fans, conveyor systems and related equipment within the process areaPerformed routine checks on treaters and seperators, and provided preventative maintenance to keep equipment at optimal peak performanceCarried out daily BS&W on oil and performed viscosity as well as density analysis, tracking water content in sales oil and testing density to adjust diluent blending.Maintained inspections, lubricating and testing of pumps throughout the process this was done on a daily basis to make sure all equipment ran at optimal performanceMaintained tank farm area as well as process area, ensuring the safe operation of all equipment, including checking all heat tracing on piping and tanks, monitoring hatches that could be possibly venting in a sour gas facility rich in H2S which is life threatening, checked pumps and all rotating equipment through out the process as well heat exchanger adjustments depending on ratesPerformed lock out, verifying safe work for maintenance personalPerformed preventative and operational maintenance on plant equipmentMaintained and operated Asphalt plant was responsible for maintaining tanks and pumps in area as well as unloading of the product into trucks this benefited the company making sure product was loaded in a safe and timely mannerHSE (Safety) Representative for my operating team attending weekly safety meetings to bring safety concerns from my operating team to the safety committee and to bring back safety related information. Provided start up and shutdown assistance as outside operator directing trades, preparing permits and provided lock out ensuring work completed within process.
