In this role, I am thrilled to be leading a multilayer and multidiscipline organization of Directors, Managers, Engineers, Scientists, and R&D lab researchers advancing the state-of-the-art in autonomous spaceflight and exploration.• Collaborating with Business Unit leaders to set vision, develop technology roadmaps, and steer R&D programs to meet strategic and business objectives.• Leading the development and deployment of enterprise-wide capabilities in flight-rated Navigation systems, modeling & simulation, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Digital Twins, and Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) testing.• Driving modern software development methodologies and best practices to ensure human flight-rated avionics software meets rigorous Verification and Validation (V&V) standards. • Directing build-out and operations of five separate dedicated R&D and system testing labs within an annual labor, CapEx, and OpEx budget.• Expanded team by 3x, in span and scope, by securing stakeholder support, recruiting and developing critical talent, and delivering results.

Building partnerships and strategies to touch the intangible.

As Director of Innovation & Product Development, I led innovation and R&D efforts by building multiple cross-functional Agile teams developing a portfolio of new flight simulator technologies and products for FlightSafety. I also worked with leadership to produce product roadmaps and competitive strategies for entering new markets, increasing performance, decreasing cost, and shortening delivery times.● Presented product business plans to C-suite, including costing, price points, market potential, production plans, go-to-market strategies, and delivery schedules.● Managed performance, schedule, and budget for 31 active development programs for internal, commercial, and military customers.● Collaborated with internal and external partners, and suppliers, to develop winning Government and commercial proposals.

As Product Director, I led all go-to-market activities for a new, state-of-the-art product line, called MissionFit(TM). My responsibilities included leading multiple teams in business development, engineering, product development, manufacturing processes, marketing, and sales.

In my role as Scientist, I set up and led FlightSafety Simulation’s first dedicated R&D facility, Simulation Innovation Lab (SIL). The mission of the lab is to develop new, innovative, engaging, and disruptive products aimed at solving the industry-wide barriers to accessible and cost-effective pilot training. This group has been responsible for the development of multiple innovations (patented) resulting in a new and industry-changing pilot training product line at FlightSafety, called MissionFit(TM).

As a Flight Dynamics Engineer at FlightSafety, I specialized in creating, integrating and validating real-time, physics-based, blade element rotor models used in FlightSafety's highest fidelity full flight helicopter simulators. I had the pleasure of writing and presenting award-winning papers on this work and being a part of the international working group tasked with establishing industry-wide helicopter simulator requirements.
