As a Senior Partner Program Manager at zyBooks, I lead our communication, product, and project management for key partner institutions working in fully online higher education. In addition, I'm responsible for coordinating our teams' product needs, collaborating closely with product and engineering to help drive product growth and coordinate changes that will mutually benefit individual partners and the broader zyBooks mission. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of zyBooks products, technological integrations/solutions, learning design/pedagogy, as well as high level communication skills, product management, and project coordination. A typical week for me includes- responding to partner needs via email or on Zoom with enthusiasm and efficiency,- coordinating course developments for a wide range of projects across many institutions, - working with our product team and content team to support the needs of our top accounts, - managing projects using Wrike, Salesforce, Google Suite, Slack, Jira, and internal tooling, - creating systematic processes to make our remote work more effective, - ending Friday with inbox zero!

As a Partner Program Manager at zyBooks, I supported our communication, product, and project management with key partner institutions working in fully online higher education. I met regularly with partners to help them develop new courses, identify impact areas, and improve student success.

I joined Wiki Education as the 9th employee in their first year. In my first three years, I worked to triple participation in their flagship program, helping recruit and onboard new customers using our OER tools. In 2019 I went remote, and was one of the first two commercial staff members to spearhead the company's first revenue generating program. As a member of the Advancement Team I also supported Partnerships, Communications and Fundraising and led outreach to outside stakeholders, including university faculty, administrators, librarians, Wikipedians, students, scientists, and researchers. - Developed and executed direct payer sales strategy, including lead generation, cold outreach, email marketing, first time user on-boarding experience, and retention strategy which led to $100,000 in consumer sales within 16 months of launch.- Supported Director of Partnerships by identifying new opportunities in the partner sales pipeline and fulfilling contract agreements which led to an additional $165,000 in revenue within 16 months of launch.- Worked with Communications Associate on digital marketing, landing page development, and other public facing communications.- Worked closely with our Chief Advancement Officer to identify and qualify leads in our fundraising pipeline, including spearheading the writing of a grant worth $40,000 from the WITH Foundation in support of healthcare equity for adults with developmental disabilities.- Facilitated online webinars and in person travel (20%) to conferences and workshops to demo products and programs and recruit new clients.- Collaborated with geographically distributed product, engineering, and communications teams to define the minimum viable product, iterate based on market and user research feedback, and substantially increase the number of women in our programs.- Managed revenue and projections with Salesforce.

- Designed and executed outreach strategy to recruit and onboard new college-level instructors from across the United States and Canada.- Led professional development workshops and facilitated successful email marketing campaigns and webinars to recruit new instructors.- Created a first class on-boarding experience for first time users and helped them evangelize our mission within their organizations . - Supported engineering and consults in designing Salesforce implementation.

Hired by Wiki Education to oversee a pilot program to work with high achieving students on Wikipedia. The pilot sought to answer a few key questions:- Will students contribute good content to Wikipedia as part of their extracurricular activities?- How enthusiastic will students be about editing Wikipedia outside of the classroom?- How will their productivity compare to the productivity of students in our Classroom Program?At the end of 6 months, I discovered that with a grade, field trip, or staff visit, students contribute to Wikipedia. Without those incentives, they contribute significantly less, or not at all. Unfortunately, field trips are not a scalable way of incentivizing students. We see greater opportunities in models that rely on alternative, scaleable solutions. For example, honor societies or academic associations could incentivize Wikipedia editing by counting editing time as a community service.From the Wiki Education Foundation's perspective, this pilot was a success. We answered the questions we set out to address. While our pilot generated less data than we had expected, we are confident that further experimentation with more participants would confirm our findings. For this reason, and with the amount of learnings we collected, we will not be extending the pilot beyond spring 2015.
