Led the Resource Development Team, raising over $15M and connecting thousands of volunteers to improve the education, health and economic stability of the Lane County community. Served on the Leadership Team, contributing to the strategic planning process to focus on the success of children and families. Launched and advanced partnerships and donor relations, streamlined sponsorships, directed events, wrote grants and communications, and served as a champion and cheerleader for the incredible nonprofits in my community.

Directed fundraising efforts for the California chapter of Citizen Schools, helping grow the annual revenue from $650K to over $2M. Also served as the Acting Executive Director for 15 months - expanding the program and sustainability of the organization; leading a team of 70+ staff who implemented school programs and recruited 200+ volunteers; expanding a Board of Advisors; managing operations/finances and annual budgeting process; and continuing to serve as the Development Director. (Chose not to accept ED position long-term for personal reasons.)

Launched Stepping Stones, the Women’s Foundation’s premier grantmaking program focused on building the equity and financial independence of low-income, women-headed households by investing in four priority funding areas. Raised more than $6M pre-launch from public and private donors to ensure over $1M in annual grantmaking; designed the grantmaking process; and helped develop the strategy for grantee collaboration and evaluation. Today the program has invested over $8M in more than 60 organizations, helping over 12,500 women increase their income and assets by more than $45M.Then served as the Director of Partnerships & Strategic Projects. Directed the Women's Foundation’s philanthropic services -- building education and engagement strategies for key donors and stakeholders, as well as the larger philanthropic and corporate community, to increase the investment made in women and girls. Also served as the Acting Development Director, focused on raising revenue for an annual $3M budget. Other responsibilities included strategic planning and national outreach.

As an independent consultant, I worked with the United Way of America, Social Enterprise Alliance, GlobalGiving, and Away.com. My work primary centered around program development, writing, fundraising, and business plan development.

Founding member of the U.S. and Canada program for Ashoka, a global non-profit dedicated to supporting leading social entrepreneurs. Primarily focused on directing the fellowship selection process for the U.S. – reviewing, interviewing and conducting due diligence on hundreds of social programs. Contributed to fundraising of $15M pre-launch to ensure more than a dozen social entrepreneurs would be elected annually and receive multi-year grants to expand their innovative social sector solutions. Today, the program has invested in more than 200 social entrepreneurs leading organizations across the U.S. and Canada, working to address every major social issue.
