The Ruderman-Chabad Inclusion Initiative (RCII) will utilize Chabad’s network of human and educational resources to create a culture of inclusion so that all Jews feel welcomed, supported, and valued throughout their entire life cycle.The Ruderman Family foundation and Chabad Lubavitch have partnered for a 4 year Initiative which will focus on disability inclusion in education and implementation in English speaking Chabad communities worldwide. This will be accomplished through 2 phases:Phase 1: Education-A JLI Flagship Course on Disabilities and Inclusion with courses adapted for the JLI teen, women and college programs.-Training and educational webinars for shluchim on disabilities and inclusion best practices -A resource guide for shluchim to empower them to be on the forefront of disability inclusion in their communitiesPhase 2: Implementation-This Initiative will develop 25 Pilot programs in 25 different cities -each with access to our panel of inclusion experts as well as a small monetary match incentive to cover costs:-8 Disability Awareness Programs - Fully prepared one night events for the community-9 Year long Ruderman Internships - Training for the Chabad House Staff and RCII Interns to implement inclusive practices in all areas of Chabad activities-9 Camp programs - Training for the Chabad House Staff and RCII Counselors to implement inclusive practices in camp programs and activitiesAll of the material created for this Initiative will be fully accessible to any other community who wishes to use it, even if they are not part of the pilot programs.
