I started working at Children's Hospital Colorado in 2008 as a new graduate nurse. I began my career in the PACU (post anesthesia care unit) where I learned assessment skills, airway management, pain management, and family centered care.I then joined the Breathing Institute where I gained my AE-C, outpatient experience, clinical education skills, and family education for three years. I transitioned to the Otolaryngology Department for the next three years where I coordinated a complex multidisciplinary vascular anomalies team. I also gained ENT surgical knowledge and condition treatments in the home and in the hospital. I finished my tenure at CHCO as a school health nurse consultant with Children's contracting to various schools. This role has given me insight to public health needs, education opportunities, and school health management.
