I study political engagement, how people become interested or involved in politics. I look at the influence of schools, parents, friend groups, and influencers! I also love taking part in developing and improving web apps that make citizens connected to the political world (such as voting advice applications and government promise trackers). In my research, I mostly use survey data analysis and textual data analysis in R to study political and social data.I enjoy teaching others what I know about political systems, but also training other students to get better at using the research methods that suit their research goals! 😎I am a social animal and love to go on hiking and camping trips with friends in my free time!
