As the Chief of Party (COP) for the Compete Activity in Kosovo, I was the primary liaison between the project and USAID Kosovo, ensuring clear and effective communication. I supervised the overall implementation of the Compete activity, ensuring the efficient execution of all project components. Managed a diverse team, including the Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP), Market Systems Expert, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Manager, Strategic Communications, Gender and Youth Manager, Minorities and Inclusion Manager, Grants and Subcontracts Manager, and the Finance and Operations Team. Engaged with private sector beneficiaries, traveling throughout Kosovo to strengthen relationships with over 300 companies and managed critical relationships with sector-specific business associations and government counterparts. I provided strategic direction and technical input on sector activities, including wood processing, ICT, Food Processing and Pre-Fab Modular Housing sectors. I ensured the timely and high-quality submission of work plans, annual reports, and other deliverables, maintaining compliance with USAID regulations and procedures. Additionally, I provided advice, mentoring, and capacity-building support to local business associations and project staff, promoting sustainability and local ownership of project activities.

As the Chief of Party for the USAID EMPOWER Private Sector activity in Kosovo, I led this flagship economic development program that significantly exceeded its original targets. The success of this program was highlighted in a 2023 case study conducted by the Department of State, which reviewed 913 foreign assistance programs and identified EMPOWER as one of the most impactful projects between 2014 and 2019. Under my leadership, EMPOWER facilitated job creation and economic growth by leveraging a co-financing strategy that helped beneficiary firms unlock loans worth five times their initial grants. This resulted in 4,367 Kosovans receiving training and 5,109 securing new jobs. The program also fostered a successful partnership with the Kosovo diaspora, leading to $1.3 million in new sales contracts. My efforts were recognized by USAID with a Certificate of Appreciation in 2020 for my extraordinary commitment to the development and transformation of Kosovo's private sector.

Supervise departments of Operations, Grants, Subcontracts and Procurement. Strategic Activities Fund manager, for USAID/ Kosovo Private Enterprise Program (KPEP) project. Responsible to manage $3.7 million dollar SAF fund.Prepared SAF Manual – Establishing systems and procedures for managing grants and subcontracts. Including Eligibility requirements, competition, selection process, implementation, monitoring and evaluation process and grant completion and closeout. Facilitate review committee meetings. Ensure that all funded activities through grants and subcontracts are in accordance with ADS, FAR and other applicable regulations.

Strategic Activities Fund manager, for USAID/ KCBS project. Successfully manage a $2.8 million dollar SAF fund and represents the project to awardees, municipalities and major stakeholders Kosovo-wide, including the complex procurement of a variety of non-expendable equipment. Led the successful and rapid award of; 85 grants, 63 subcontracts, and 4 material procurements in Kosovo.
