I am currently a NASCAR Xfinity series engineer working for JR Motorsports. My primary role is heading the shop engineering side of the organization, ensuring that all of our 4 full time cars are competitive as possible every race weekend. Additionally I serve as the race engineer whenever we run a 5th part time car, creating the suspension setup and doing the at-track engineering for the given race weekend. I am currently based in the Mooresville, NC area and graduated from UNC Charlotte in 2016 with a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering with a motorsports focus. My primary skills include 3D design with Solidworks, CMM Metrology with Romer arms, Vehicle Dynamics Simulation, turning concepts into prototypes/deliverables quickly in the time scale of racing, real world testing, and instrumentations. I also have skills in electrical engineering, coding, PCB Design, machining, welding, and fabrication and will frequently use them for small one-off projects such as testing fixtures. In my free time, I mentor students doing FIRST Robotics in the Charlotte Area that are part of the Queen City Robotics Alliance. Specifically I mainly work with team 3506, YETI Robotics from which I was once a student and have been doing so for more than 10 years. I have also helped various other teams in the area including 4935, T-Rex out of my former high school. Additionally, while in high school I achieved the rank of Eagle within the boy scouts and served as a leader while participating within.
