Simon joined Varde Hartmark as a Senior Consultant in March 2023. He holds a BSc in Financial Management and graduated with First Class Honours from the University of Essex in the UK. Both during and after graduation, Simon gained practical experience through various internships and traineeships in mainly the finance departments of various international shipping companies before returning back home to Norway and joining Deloitte in 2018. In his previous role, he was a manager with a financial background in the Transfer Pricing department of Deloitte Advokatfirma AS. Simon's tasks were; value chain analysis, preparation of documentation (compliance) and performing all kinds of analysis and assistance related to transfer pricing issues that face both small and large international organizations in all industries. Simon's current position as Senior Consultant at Varde Hartmark is a continuation of his interest in consultancy work and corporate advisory services in connection with value chains, strategic realization, strategy development combined with all analyses relating to the aforementioned points. Previous employers include; Deep Sea Supply AS (Norway), Allseas Marine S.A. (Greece), Vroon B.V. (Netherlands), and Deloitte Advokatfirma AS (Norway).
