Water Efficiency Specialist focused on improving utilization of indoor water use. By performing an in-depth analysis on a property by property basis, we are able to identify opportunities to reduce water usage through more efficient use of fixtures, equipment and fixing leaks. Our customers include hotels, apartment complexes, universities and other large properties. We have delivered sustainable savings of as much as 26% in addition to water conservation initiatives and products already in place. CIRCUMSTANCES DRIVING THE NEED FOR MY SERVICES The California Water Mandated Reductions pose a unique challenge to property owners and managers due to the fact that there are 411 different Water Agencies, each with their own Drought Response Plan and enforcement mechanisms. The fines for Water Agencies not in compliance with their Mandated Target reductions are $10,000 per day. Water Agencies are responding with different increased rate structures and penalties, fines and in some cases, threatening service shut-off if customers do not comply. I conduct detailed analyses, based on local Water Agencies programs, to show how a property may be affected by enforcement mechanisms and provide solutions to use water more efficiently to accomplish needed tasks with a goal of reaching compliance. I calculate the cost to comply for each option and the cost not to comply, which allows property managers the ability to make an informed decision before committing to a plan.QUALIFICATIONSMy qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Finance, several business management related certifications and over 25 years of management experience. Over the past several years I have focused my efforts on addressing the financial and operational impact of this complex and dynamic issue facing all property owners in California. This has provided me with the skills and resources to provide the most effective solutions to these water efficiency management challenges.
