Skip’s 40-year career includes many senior roles in the financial services industry both domestically and internationally. He has been on two company boards: six years as Chairman (President and CEO) of A.G. Lanston (a Federal Reserve Bank recognized primary dealer with a global footprint) and eight years as Vice Chairman (member of the Executive and Investment committees) of NYMAGIC (a medium sized publicly traded P&C insurer). For ten years Skip was a senior partner of Mariner Investment Group (a $13 billion alternative asset management firm) and served on the Management and Investment committees. For four years he was a Senior Managing Director of Bear Stearns and a member of the firm's Risk committee; head of the company's Government Bond Department and head of European F.I. Trading and Sales. Skip has also been on the board of the Bond Market Association and a member of the Treasury Borrowing Advisory committee (a select group of market participants who counsel the Federal Reserve Bank and the U.S. Treasury). His direct operational responsibilities for the past 30 years: Sourcing/Vetting of hedge fund acquisitions and trading teams; Portfolio Management; Risk Management; Marketing; and all other C-suite functions such as “hands on” oversight of the middle and back office along with frequent interaction with regulatory authorities especially the N.Y. Federal Reserve Bank.
