Technical lead for two consecutive 5-person development teams. Directed R&D for a new Data Lakehouse utilizing HUDI, Presto, and Spark. Developed parallel processing data pipeline library via Python, Prefect, Dask, and Pandas including continuous integration and Kubernetes deployments. Software developer for SRI/Princeton’s Vision Technology group. Developed near real-time image processing software, created C++/CLI API to integrate customer-developed C# front-end with SRI-developed C++ image processing system. Designed and developed Maven/CMake build and dependency management system for C++. Integrated SRI image analysis tools with a GStreamer pipeline plugin to perform geo-registration of satellite imagery as part of EOIR’s Advanced Video Activity Analytics project. Technical lead for a nationally distributed 10-person team. Developed an online education and training web application deployed to Amazon EC/2 on Ubuntu, implemented with Java/Spring via the Liferay platform and user interface components in JSF and JSP. Integration with Shibboleth/SAML, third-party Learning Management Systems, and SOLR. Data exchange leveraging Atom/Activity Streams and PubSubHubbub.Additional projects included a desktop GUI implemented in WPF/C# for real-time stabilized video display from a small unmanned aerial vehicle, a network monitoring tool developed in Java RCP, a .NET/C# desktop GUI for a mesh networked situational awareness application, and a Java/Hibernate/MATLAB application used for landmine detection through analysis of ground-penetrating radar.

Integrated metadata search engine into multiple backup products: continuous, desktop, and image-based, providing a consistent Web-based recovery view for all backup types. Converted indexer communication model from RPC to WCF. Formulated both design and development plan for next generation indexer, including prototypes built on hybrid SQL/full content search engine supporting tens of millions of documents per node.

Led overall development for concurrent point releases of backup product; directly supported large customer installations. Helped convert product from custom database solution to MS SQL. Designed and developed a secure, scalable, metadata search engine and Web-based retrieval portal for an enterprise-level backup product, supporting millions of document versions per node. Acted as lead developer for a small team creating MFC/ActiveX/HTML user interface components for an SME-level client-server desktop backup product. Designed and developed a solution for automatically deploying client software across the network.

Consulted directly with leading document management provider to determine requirements, design, and schedule for a custom application for their product line. Developed a large-scale, localized, customizable customer response and document management system. Implemented a custom object-oriented database solution using Microsoft SQL Server.
