I am the Team Leader Health and Safety at the Kingston City Council. I lead a team of dedicated and committee OHS and Injury Management specialists and advisers who provide advice and support to an organisation of over 1500 employees serving our Kingston community.My latest journey began in 2018 when I joined local government accepting the position at the Kingston City Council. It was an exciting time of rejuvenation with the People & Culture department enabling us to invest in our managers and leaders to enhance our safety programs. I have managed both Aviation and Workplace Health and Safety Management Systems developing, implementing and facilitating audit and inspection programs, risk management frameworks, safety and hazard reporting, incident and injury investigation together with achieving regulatory and independent certifications under various regulatory and standards frameworks. I have experience reviewing and implementing corporate governance programs focusing on enterprise-wide risk management programs at executive and board levels, including facilitating organisational Audit and Risk Committees.I have presented at multiple conferences in Australia on health and safety matters including fatigue risk management and workplace mental health programs.I am the convenor of the Local Government Workplace Mental Health Seminar bringing together over 250 local government specialists from three states every few months. Manager Procurement & Contracts (Secondment)

The report detailed the coverage we have as an organisation, premium and excess changes for the new financial year, historical claims analysis and identification of key risk areas.2) Establishing a strategic partnership with the Kinaway Chamber of Commerce and achieving key deliverables as part of Council's Reconciliation Action Plan.3) Creating a draft of Council's first Fleet Strategy and Annual Action Plan to guide the fleet activities over the next year to allow the new Manager to review and update it ready to align with our new Council Plan in June 2025.4) Contributing to Council's NetZero 2030 strategy by achieving a 5% reduction in our internal combustion engine passenger vehicle fleet and working with our Libraries leadership team to transition to electric vehicles.5) Building a really collaborative working relationship with our Legal team and setting up a model to integrate our insurance claims review process in conjunction with the legal and governance teams, aligning it with our enterprise risk management framework.
