I am a junior majoring in Operations and Supply Chain Management, with a minor in Economics, always looking for ways to get involved with the community both in and out of school. I have not had a direct route to higher education right out of high school, but I am still like any young adult, figuring out the corporate landscape. I value the edge a nontraditional path has carved for me and the knowledge it has given me to prepare for the future. Working in the service industry throughout COVID showed me a side of life I had never seen before. I was intrigued by the ebbs and flows the world of supply chain brought to the aviation business. Seeing firsthand how the impacts of missing parts from backlogged deliveries affected everyone’s tasks in the company inspired me to want to work at preventing this in the future. After being out of school for three years, I felt compelled to go back, this time with a narrower focus on things. Being a committed student again has reinvigorated by interest in learning at an accelerated rate, and I am stoked to bring that energy to the workforce when it is time.
