Responsible for the Microsoft core infrastructure team for BT Global Services in the Southeast, where we have a team focused on Optimized Desktop services to deploy Windows and Office, and email migration (specializing in Notes to Exchange). Our services range from standardized desktop planning, building out a secure and well-managed desktop infrastructure, to delivering the optimized desktop experience tuned to our customer networks.Significant projects:• Large apparel company, we managed the worldwide integration of network, servers, email, as well as desktop migration from Windows XP to Windows 7. I started on the project ten weeks after initiation, and salvaged a project that was off-schedule, not well resourced, and in disarray. The project was successfully completed and we are working on the design for phase 2 of the integration.• Automotive components company – design and planning services for Windows 7 migration. I led the team creating the Windows 7 image, designed the deployment infrastructure (SCCM), and performed a preliminary application analysis and rationalization. We are now providing project oversight for their incumbent IT services firm to perform the main migration.• Entertainment services company – comparison of various options for this firm to upgrade from Exchange 2003. I led the team doing the research and prepared a business case (including financial comparison) of all options
