ECFMG|FAIMER is a leading expert on the world’s medical education systems and their graduates, the authenticity of physician credentials, and research on physician migration and U.S. physician workforce issues. Through FAIMER and other partners, ECFMG|FAIMER actively seeks opportunities to promote medical education and research.International medical graduates (IMGs) comprise nearly one-quarter of the U.S. physician workforce. Certification by ECFMG is the standard for evaluating the qualifications of these physicians before they enter U.S. graduate medical education (GME). ECFMG|FAIMER partners with the National Board of Medical Examiners in administering the Step 2 Clinical Skills (CS) component of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE), a requirement for IMGs and for graduates of U.S. and Canadian medical schools who wish to be licensed in the United States or Canada.ECFMG Certification also is a requirement for IMGs to take Step 3 of the USMLE and to obtain an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States.ECFMG|FAIMER provides other programs for IMGs pursuing U.S. GME, including those that assist them with the process of applying for U.S. GME positions; and that sponsor foreign nationals for the J-1 visa for the purpose of participating in such programs.Through more than six decades of certifying IMGs, ECFMG|FAIMER has developed unparalleled expertise on the world’s medical schools, the credentials they issue to their graduates, and the verification of those credentials.

Led the integration of Fornance Physician Services, a 90+ physician, $40 million multispecialty group practice that supported Montgomery Healthcare System, a $150 million community healthcare system, through September 2012 into the Einstein Healthcare Network, a $1.2 billion academic medical center and healthcare network, while continuing physician network growth and development.

Senior MHS executive with a direct reporting relationship to the CEO of MHS and multiple years of involvement assessing the financial and operational viability of MHS partnership candidates, negotiating and executing the MHS / EHN strategic partnership, merger, integration, and activation of Einstein Medical Center Montgomery, playing a key role in payer negotiation and contracting in a monopolistic market, managing MHS commercial malpractice insurance and the formation of a Self-Insured Malpractice Trust, and as President of Fornance leading the evolution of an unaligned, unprofitable group of physician practices into a cohesive, powerful multi-specialty group practice representing a significant asset to MHS during its partnership negotiations with EHN.
