My research interest revolves around various subdomains of NLP. I am currently involved in exploring and addressing the challenges of misinformation, e.g., fake news, cyberbullying, and hate speech, in mitigating complex online harms. As part of this, I took multiple online challenges on Fact-verification, FEVEROUS, and AVeriTeC (achieving a rank on the leaderboard), to build models and pipelines to be included in the current work. Some of the things I have done during my PhD research:• developed a web-based front-end basically in Javascript and HTML for the spoken dialogue system (SDS).• adapted PyDial toolkit to perform conversation in the Hindi language.• collected a Hindi dataset of paired Dialogue-Act and corresponding user utterances for the NLG module in Hotel and Restaurant domain.• applied Deep Learning approaches to build LSTM based NLG models for the SDS.• developed various TTS models for the Hindi language, e.g. USS, HMM, CLUSTERGEN and DNN and incorporated them in SDS.
