I am a graduating student, with B.S. Finance degree, at George Mason University in VA, US. I am an enthusiastic person who is addicted to the finance discipline for last 10 years. When I was in Korean high school in 2008, I was drawn to the equity market in Korea, and I started to learn stock, futures, currency(FX), derivatives and other financial instruments by myself. I have tried many investments in both real and simulation market. It means that I have observed the capital markets since 2008. For the fixed income related knowledge, on the other hand, I have learned mechanisms of bond, mezzanine and sovereign debt profoundly during my pursuit of the finance degree. To earn this, I went to colleges in Korea to learn business administration at first and I went to a college in Japan to learn economics because I thought that it is similar to finance. But this was my mistake. I learned economics but not finance. So, I transferred to the current school to learn finance finally. During the finance curriculum at this school, I was awarded ‘Excellence in Finance’ thanks to my enthusiasm for finance.At my current school, on the other hand, I acquired knowledge of investment theories, risk management and firm valuation from the courses I took so far. And because of my varied college experiences in different countries, I am able to analyze IFRS and GAAP based 10-Ks in English, Japanese and Korean. Moreover, I am capable to utilize Crystal Ball (for a Monte Carlo simulation in Excel), VBA, R language and Bloomberg Terminal if it is required for the work. I am using these when I deal with case studies.
