Annual Film Festival Event Facilitate the installation of digital playback equipment for the festival in about 10 theatrical venues. Installations include a wide variety of sources such as Digital Cinema Projectors, Ultra High Definition Projectors, Routers, Audio Mixers and Computers. I work with the festival production team and the venue employees to test and qualify the equipment playback and sound quality for each venue that will be hosting the film festival. I also am on call/standby for the duration of the festival 24/7 for troubleshooting technical problems that arise at any of the venues.

Post Production Supervisor of all Editorial labs and suites, provide technical support to students and faculty members who use our facilities for the academic program; provide training in numerous software and hardware programs; answer questions that arise and resolve all technical difficulties; perform any and all duties related to the smooth operation of digital, film and analog editorial facilities. Every semester I schedule and supervise on average 60 separate Audio Post-Production mixes. This is where the undergrad and grad students have their final sounds of their movie blended together by professional freelance audio mixers using AVID ProTools. This requires me to coordinate the schedules for 60 students and about 6 or more freelance audio professionals using 3 rooms in about a 3 week period to get all the mixes completed before end of semester screenings. In addition, I assist in the hiring of student staff members, including interviewing and skill assessment; create a work schedule for the student staff. Provide continuing upgrading of software, fixes, etc. to maintain a high level of user satisfaction as change occurs. Research both new software and hardware products/techniques. Interact with other departments to address and solve problems related to our student needs. Also, a continuing one on one interaction with students is necessary to assist in the completion of advanced (MFA) projects.

General media editing from offline to online. Projects included industrials to commercials. Knowlege of all aspects of video duplication, digitizing, editing and distribution necessary.

• Machine Room Operator/Assistant Editor • Provided support for editors during edit sessions by adjusting video and audio playback levels of source videotapes to broadcast standards. • Provided assistance with audio mixing and design. Performed video and audio laybacks. • Duplicated programming to assorted videotape formats including mass duplication to various formats

• As Producer I produce the broadcast of a 1 to 2 minute live lottery game drawing. I am responsible for managing a crew of 13 to arrive on time and to do their job properly and on schedule. I verify the close screen graphics for accurate information and dollar amounts. I act as a liaison between the production crew, security, and the Texas Lottery Commission. • As Technical Director I am responsible for switching a three-camera shoot on a Grass Valley 200 switcher using 1 ME, with a channel of DVE and CG, live on air • Audio Director duties were to mix and monitor English and Spanish announcers w/music for the live broadcast. • Machine Room Operator duties were to set up graphics and audio tape, route the Grass Valley 200 switcher with 3 cameras fed from the stage to the machine room, route the character generator and tape machines. • Route the show live to satellite and confirm transmission as well as roll a videotape recording of the broadcast.
