Chief strategist and business executive responsible for setting strategic priorities & OKRs (org size 1800), creating & putting into motion strategic transformation plans, and the coordinated execution of step-change for BMO’s Risk Group. I partnered directly with the Bank’s Chief Risk Officer to lead an executive leadership team to set strategic direction, establish OKRs, align teams, and 10X engagement to drive bottom-up lift to enable the Bank to drive key results. I was accountable for significant relationships with global partners to reimagine the Group's talent & human capital strategy (e.g. innovation vs operations model), as well as establish a new holistic high performance framework for the Group. As the CRO’s delegate, I also championed Employee Experience & Culture transformation programs for the Risk Group in partnership with Chief Risk Officer, senior leaders from across the Group, and HR.

As an inaugural member of BMO Capital Markets, Regulatory Transformation Office (RTO), Sarah was responsible for overseeing regulatory “change the bank” initiatives to enable the Firm to minimize business disruption, optimize client onboarding and consents while dually complying with global regulatory reforms.The Regulatory Transformation Office (RTO) is mandated to deliver robust strategic and tactical changes to meet new & emerging regulatory reforms across all jurisdictions in which BMO Capital Markets operates (Dodd-Frank, EMIR, global trade & transaction reporting, Global Margin Rules, MiFID II, Security Based Swap Dealer Regulations, FRTB, Reg YY, and related APAC reforms. Sarah was accountable for end-to-end implementation - business process architecture from client onboarding, to middle office synchronization, internal and external change management & education.Directly responsible for leading cross-functional teams spanning from trading desks, legal, operations, technology, finance to coordinate rapid response strategies, regulation applicability & impact assessments, new operating models, and overseeing the implementation of complex change programs to become compliant with new Capital Markets regulations. Working closely with her global team, Sarah was also responsible for program governance, stakeholder management, financial planning & management, talent acquisition & resourcing, and seamless transition of regulatory changes to BAU owners. Sarah recruited, coached and grew a global team of 20+ RTO resources based in Toronto, Chicago, NYC, and London UK.

Post merger Transformation Program Director to integrate Suncor and Petro Canada downstream business operations, modernize technology platforms, and sunset legacy business functions.Mandated to standardize, modernize & simplify all aspects of Petro Canada's core process architecture and downstream technology, including transition to outsourcing partners across the entire IT stack (infrastructure/HW, data, networks, applications). Successfully provided oversight & stewarded 18 projects, implemented by 350+ resources across 4 countries (Canada, USA, India, Philippines). Additionally, I established a new End State Program PMO to align with Suncor enterprise PMO structure, to manage delivery risk, and harmonize project delivery best practices across multiple companies / vendors / methodologies, accountable for Program stakeholder management as chair of the Executive Steering & Business Operating Committees, end-to-end lifecycle of Program financials, full talent acquisition lifecycle & people development for the Legacy Transformation Program.
