As a clinical health technician, my responsibilities included performing daily checks of animals undergoing treatment, assessing animals reported for sick conditions, recommending treatments to Principal Investigators (PIs), and implementing treatments at the direction of PIs. Performed euthanasia, anesthesia, routine survival/terminal sentinel collections, and necropsies.

Developed laboratory skills, performed reaction optimization assays, documented data, communicated weekly progress at lab meetings, and brainstormed future directions with PI.

• Lead 110 minute recitations once a week to guide students through organic chemistry problem sets.• Attend a seminar class once a week to discuss strategies and troubleshoot problems related to students.• Oversee at least one chemistry exam as a test proctor, perform one peer-observation per semester, and substitute for other leaders if needed to obtain three tier points for the seminar class.

Peer Mentor with the Honors College for Freshman Undergraduate Students:• Engage with mentees twice a month for at least 70 minutes per meeting to discuss any questions and concerns that the mentee may have that would help further their academic progress and personal growth at IUPUI.• Provide mentees with resources such as clubs to help them adjust to university life.• Serve as a positive role model for the mentees by responding in a timely manner, conducting behavior as a professional, communicating clearly, listening actively, and being approachable in helping the mentees navigate college and their Honors experience.
