ETL (Extract, Transform and Load):A new short-term (horizon of 5 years) demand panel econometric based forecasting model was developed to inform the 2011 IPART Price Submission. I consolidated the required data from many sources, extensively manipulated and finally prepared the data for modelling. Outcome: Later, this model was used to construct a new long-term demand forecasting model. I continuously contributed to the development of the requirements for the long-term demand forecasting model.SPSS, Stata, MapInfo, Microsoft SQL, Excel, Access, and Visio were used for this project.Consumer Segmentation: I developed separate dynamic econometric panel data models for 14 different consumer segments, using the econometric estimation method of General Method of Momentum (GMM) to better understand Sydney Water’s customers.Outcome: A lecturer from the University of Otago (NZ) made the following observation: “I commend the effort San has put into this research. He has demonstrated extensive understanding of the different econometric methods to analyse the research problem.”SPSS, Stata, MapInfo, Microsoft SQL, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint and Visio were used for this project.Reporting/Requests: I provide input into major Sydney Water reports (Annual Report, Water Conservation, and Metropolitan Water Plan), folios (Leakage, Water Efficiency) at specific times each year. In addition, solved ad hoc requests for data, data manipulation or interpretation of data.
