Performed monetary transactions and customer service, maintained a fun and exciting environment for customers, and upsold for extra rides if possible.

For this position, I have performed maintenance on bicycles and walked patrons through different preventative maintenance practices for their bicycles. I have also educated patrons on everything about these bicycles. From how to identify tire/tube size and air pressure recommendations, to how the drivetrain of the bicycle works and how the different components of them work.In this role, I was able to make certain processes in the Bike Shop more efficient. As an example: I had reduced the amount of paperwork needed for each repair and helped develop and suggest different ways to contact customers.

For this position, I have had to check out to, inform patrons on, and demonstrate outdoor equipment to/for patrons. I have also performed and logged monetary transactions, and was a main point of contact for students and patrons for these services.In this position I also had the opportunity to reduce the amount of paperwork in the office, and make the environment work more efficiently. As an example: there were four or five different forms we needed to fill out, and steps that were redundant within those forms. I was able to reduce the amount of questions and blanks on each form and process checklist to about half of what it was when I had started working here.

In this position, I learned valuable conflict resolution skills, stress management skills, and have had to work both early mornings and late nights at full capacity.I have also had to handle crisis situations for residents as part of my duties.

In this position, I helped customers and students with questions about software, how the college works, and helped troubleshoot technology issues for students and patrons of the college. I also checked out supplies to students, such as calculators, and handled cash transactions.
