I am passionate about educating and learning. I believe music provides us with a way to dig deep into the intellectual and emotional meaning in everything we do. It gives purpose and clarity. It brings peace and tranquility. It teaches love and respect. Performing and studying music, in my opinion, is the most meaningful process in broadening an educated epistemology. Music opens doors to true learning, inquisition and insight. It enhances student achievement in all other subject areas from math to English. Most importantly, music is a gift from God which enriches our lives every single day. This is why I teach music. It is not just a passion or vocation; it is a calling. It is a joy to do this every day!
