My mandate here was helping companies at every stage validate new product opportunities and reach that first key milestone – identifying and validating an early adopter persona, building and testing a proof of concept, landing a first customer, or creating a pitch deck and talking to investors.In an effort to fulfill that mandate, we launched thoughtbot's first incubator https://thoughtbot.com/incubator and ran five companies through the programming, which we also documented in a playbook https://thoughtbot.com/playbook#customer-discoveryI also managed two senior developers and a senior product manager.

hollarhype is an immersive voice messaging app sparking 1:1 connection within communities.

Brio was a platform for delivering diagnostic test results at scale. During my time at the company, we were focused on delivering COVID test results to Hollywood productions and factory floors in order to keep workforces safe before there was a vaccine. I steered the product through the transition to product market fit, taking the company from $1m MRR to $40m MRR in twelve months. I rebuilt the engineering team, hired and managed a senior PM, and coordinated across engineering, support, and logistics to deliver product updates during a chaotic moment in American healthcare.

TallyLab was a data diary app and time-series data analysis platform built on OrbitDB & IPFS.We peaked out at 500 active users and two paying customers before exiting to the community.

Shepherded Attentive.ly into the Blackbaud fold after acquisition.

Attentive.ly was a social media dashboard app for community organizers.I helped take Attentive.ly from alpha to acquisition. I designed and built the beta's front-end, managed a junior engineer, analyzed usage data and user feedback, kept tabs on the quickly evolving market and regulatory environment, and owned turning it all into a strategy and a roadmap.
