Live-on position that manages the development and administration within a residence all or apartment community. Supervises a staff of 18 undergraduate student leaders, office assistant, and an Associate Hall Director (professional staff). Serves in an on-call rotation through the calendar year to respond to incidents and emergencies as they occur for a residential population of approximately 10,000 students.

- Curated training material for student and professional staff members on Police intervention needs.- Hosted DEI-based workshops for staff of 24+ student staff.- Maintained the safety and security of two residence halls through serving 12-hour weekday evening-duty shifts, and 24-hour weekend duty shifts addressing various crisis situations including medical transports, RVSM occurrences, mental health crises, and other community hazards.- Advised student organizations within the residential neighborhood by attending one executive board meeting per month, holding weekly one-on-one meetings with the organization president, and approving financial purchasing proposals for programming material.- Assisted with the review, hiring, interviews, and training of housing staff including RAs, Residence Directors, and Complex Directors for the 2021/22, 2022/23, and 2023/24 academic school years.

- Conducted research into federal policies such as the Jean Clery Act and Title IX, along with the internal auditing used to ensure Michigan State University (MSU) fulfills federal compliance requirements. - Created training documentation and materials for future practicum students relevant to approving, classifying, and tracking campus security authorities (CSAs), MSU Clery geography, and the annual campus fire and safety reporting submitted to the U.S. Department of Education.- Collaborated with MSU Police and Public Safety, Residential Care and Compliance Education office, and the Office of Student Success and Accountability to ensure Clery reporting requirements are fulfilled.- Assisted in curating campus-wide Clery compliance training videos for future CSAs to watch that elaborated on topics such as Clery geography, Clery crimes, mandated reporting, and how to report Clery crimes.

- Assisted with facilitating and documenting meeting notes of the Campus Policy Reform task force, which focused on addressing student-requested changes to institutional policies such as donor accountability, name changes on official documents, and required faculty religious observation of non-Christian holidays.- Compiled and organized primary historical documents of student activism on MSUs campus for the pending “Mapping History of Activism” initiative.- Organized and co-hosted monthly student-faculty forum meetings to connect students to various campus offices and officials in an effort to directly address DEIB concerns.- Proposed viable recommendations to needs listed on MSUs DEI strategic plan through researching best practices and institutional efforts at various Big 10 universities.

- Perform weekly wellness and academic check-ins via email or text message for a caseload of 230+ students that belong to the School of Business & Economics and Science & Technology.- Counsel students to meet academic goals, and personal wellness goals, and alleviate academic concerns throughout the semester via Zoom or email as requested.- Connect students that have been impacted by COVID-19 and California wildfires to virtual campus resources and emergency aid.- Create and distribute passive programming materials tailored to the direct needs of students assigned in the caseload.- Document individual student interactions and progress for students in assigned caseloads, weekly.

- Established professional rapport with 44-57+ residents, building lasting relationships with students of various ages, backgrounds, and identities.- Coordinated, planned, and hosted residential programs to foster student connection to campus offices, resources, and communities at large.- Served in various crisis response situations including natural disasters, campus-wide evacuations, and smaller residential hazards to maintain the safety and well-being of the residential community.
