Offering remote finance services to SMEs

I worked within the Business Services Team of this three office practise. I was responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts and their distribution to the relevant stakeholders.I prepared and reviewed VAT returns on a monthly or quarterly basis dependent on the needs of the client.I supervised the production of the annual accounts and corporation tax returns.

The role includedPreparation of the annual statutory accounts including preparation of information for the auditors Attendance and minute taking at the monthly board meetings for two companies with the minutes being distributed no later than the end of the following day Preparation and presentation of a board report each month to the board meeting covering Financial Results, Statutory Issues and Human Resources Issues for two companiesPreparation of the monthly management accounts with a three day turnaround from month end Daily reconciliations of payment processors for 5 different games sitesReview of contracts with third parties including white label, partnership and commercial agreementsManagement of the statutory documents and liaising with the Company Secretary and lawyersMonthly management of the payroll for all three companiesCashflow management including the placement of treasury deposits Principal point of contact for Human Resources in the Gibraltar office

The role included:Work on voluntary and involuntary liquidationsHighly time sensitive ad-hoc corporate finance tasksPreparation of receipts and payments schedules, net asset valuations, balance sheets, profit and loss statements Review and analysis of financial statements Filings with the Registrar of Companies and the Cayman Islands Monetary AuthorityA high level of autonomy including responsibility for billing and accounts receivable for specific jobs assigned to me. Working closely with senior members of the corporate finance team, including partners and directors.A large degree of client focus including dealing with shareholders, investment managers and other senior members of the financial services industry, requiring excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail and a high level of professionalismWriting detailed reports to shareholders, creditors and other parties Supervision of two or more junior members of staff including training of ACA qualified audit staff to assist in the corporate finance functionTraining sessions with up to 20 participants including PwC partners, directors and managersMonthly reviews of work in progress and accounts receivable to assist with billing, manage WIP and receivables for the department
