I am a music teacher at San Antonio Elementary School in Pasco County, FL, where I started working in May 2023 after graduating with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of Tampa. I am passionate about creating a welcoming and fun environment for my students to learn music, while also developing my own teaching abilities and skills. In June 2023, I began my academic journey at Teachers College, Columbia University, where I am pursuing a Master of Arts in Music and Music Education. My research interest is in the critical area of equity and access in music education, with a specific focus on socioeconomic disparities, cultural inclusivity, and policy and advocacy. My goal is to deepen my understanding of the challenges and solutions that can create a more inclusive and equitable landscape for music education. Besides my teaching and academic endeavors, I have also worked as a private music teacher at Westchase School of Music, where I taught a variety of instruments to students of different ages and levels, and taught master classes for music theory. I am currently managing a private oboe studio consisting of approximately ten students who are in middle and high school. I am also an accomplished oboist, having worked with esteemed instructors and performed in various ensembles and solo recitals.
