I am an adjunct assistant professor in the genetic counseling program for the College ofHealth Professions at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. I teach genetic counseling ethics I and II.

Assistant professor of bioethics and humanities & clinical ethicist. I conduct research on patient's experiences with the health care system. I am especially interested in how race, gender and socioeconomic status impact theses experiences. I also mentor and teach health science students and residents. As a clinical ethicist, I provide support to clinicians and families in making difficult decisions to ensure that these decisions are aligned with the patient's interests.

I am part of the CIHR Infotility team that is creating mobile health applications for men and women experiencing infertility. My work involves evaluating the fertility needs of diverse individuals and creating content for a mobile health application that is accessible to a variety of fertility patients. We are also working on developing another mhealth app to inform men about reproduction. This app targets men in the general population and men with fertility needs as a result of cancer and/or a fertility diagnosis. Each app will be evaluated by end-users (e.g., fertility patients, men in the general population) to see how their mental health, feelings of empowerment and knowledge surrounding fertility changed.
