As the Director of the Mesh Guild System:- Direct strategic initiatives and partnerships within ASU to maximize the potential of student lead guild activities- Ensure guild members are both participating in and benefitting from meetings and collaborations within the guild system- Manage guild infrastructure, partnerships, membership, and day-to-day operations- Engage with external partners to provide mentorship, workshops, and learning sessions as well as identify projects and opportunities -------The Mesh Guild System gathers XR practitioners into role-oriented guilds. Each guild weaves like-minded XR practitioners (both novices and experts) across the university for synergistic collaborative sharing of experience: successes, challenges, strategies, etc. Mesh Guilds stay abreast of the latest advancements in the craft, and prepare students for work upon graduation. The guilds are also a great place for our partners to source talent who will work in AR/VR in a variety of industries, and participate through mentorship, workshops, and guest learning sessions.

As the Project Manager I will work closely and collaboratively with leadership across the university to plan, organize, and execute projects related to XR experiences. I will identify and acquire necessary resources and coordinate efforts by all parties to ensure timely delivery of project outcomes in accordance with sponsor expectations. Additionally, I'm retooling our studio to accomodate the dramatic increase in interest around XR's use in education, research, philanthropy, space exploration and beyond. - Work together with a remote team of engineers including 3 React JS Full-Stack Jr. Engineers, 1 Unity Developer, and 1 SolidWorks Developer to building out our MVP with a mix of data-driven React components, Unity developed training scenes, 3D objects, video, audio, and text. - Use Agile methodologies in Jira and Confluence to build out sprints with weekly synchronous (Zoom) and a-synchronous (Slack/Range) stand-up meetings as well as end-of-sprint retrospectives- Learning from and working with a Sr. Engineer to establish a tech stack using AWS Elastic Beanstalk, CloudFront, S3, and RDS/ Also, Circle CI/CD for deployment. - Work together with our Chief Curriculum Officer to ensure the effective, timely, build out of quality training content geared toward preparing aviation technicians for their FAA certification exams. - Create visual, text, and video based technical documents to maintain an organizational memory, give visual reference to our tech stack, on-board new team members, present company updates, reinforce internal trainings, and tell silly jokes.
