I am an Electrical Engineering student at the University of Queensland, with a strong interest in power systems and the global renewable energy transition. Growing up in regional NSW, I have experienced firsthand the discrepancies in resources and opportunities available outside of major cities, which has been a driving factor in my interests in the power sector. Developing sustainable solutions to address environmental concerns, whilst also ensuring equitable access to infrastructure to people all over Australia is of great importance to me.I am also passionate about helping to minimise the educational disadvantage which is faced by students in regional areas, where accessing tertiary education can be extremely challenging and seemingly unattainable. I aim to make the most of every possible opportunity, from volunteering to leadership and personal development, and to do whatever I can to help facilitate the huge transition to university faced by other educationally-disadvantaged students, especially in STEM pathways.
