Using brake presses, lathes, mills (both CNC and manual), band saws, tubing bender, tube notcher, ETC… I’ve fabricated and installed roll cages, brackets for one-off prototype modules for testing, among many other projects. Worked on military projects involving defense contracts for vehicles with automated systems on vehicles weighing anywhere from 15 tons, to 68 tons. Working on B-2 bombers, T-38 Talons, and A-10 warthogs as a machinist and fabricator, I assessed prints and interpreted drawings with tolerances of less then .001” to make one-off parts for aircraft assistance and maintenance. Using CNC lathes, mills, and manual vertical mills, and all associated hand tools, i machined hundreds of correctly fitted parts to Ensure proper functions according to Technical orders issued by the USAF. Following all steps laid before me, to include and safety protocols directed by OSHA, and the Air Force. Gained 6G certifications for tig welding on 7 metals (mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, magnesium, nickel, cobalt, inconel). Completed numerous weld repairs to aircraft components, to include exhaust duct liners, structural frame I-beams, skin repairs of sheet metal .040” and under.
