Although working in education wasn't my plan, being an educator is who I was meant to be. After joining Teach for America in 2007, I fell in love with middle school students and the impact patient, kind, and educated adults can have on the trajectory of one's life. I am driven to improve the level of education for all children and thrive when designing and supporting the creation of engaging, rigorous lessons which meet students at their current level yet push them to succeed at their potential. As a veteran teacher of 13 years, I utilize my experience and knowledge to lead teachers in improving their practice through professional learning, coaching, and curriculum and instruction resources. I aim to elevate the experience of all students, so they can grow into strong well-rounded community members and global citizens.
