Growing up with a father working in an advanced technology company that works with defense contractors, has led my curiosity to the business world. More specifically production and purchasing. In the beginning of my career search, I was very interested in how these types of companies chose what products are purchased and how the relationships with suppliers is kept. Furthermore, I have grown into this curiosity and pursued my degree in Supply Chain Management at Grand Valley State University. Gathering this degree, I have gained more interest in the processes and studies behind organizations supply chain operations. Throughout my life I have participated in many sports. One of the more impactful sports, softball. This sport has taught discipline, communication, and working as a team. I believe that it is important to be able to maintain relationships both in your everyday life but also in the supply chain. Since graduation last December 2020, I have been working in the automotive industry assisting in inventory control. This job has opened my eyes in how important each and every step is within the process. This position has taught me how easy it can be to miss a small tedious step. This simple realization has taught me how to grow from the process. I am currently in a position where I can advance in my position, but I am still curious as to what opportunities are out there.
