My responsibilities include triaging patients, administering vaccinations, performing blood draws, and maintaining order and cleanliness during surgery. I would also scribe and assist clients with paperwork, providing them education on responsible pet ownership.In addition to direct patient care, I maintain a clean and sterile environment by performing daily cleaning of kennels, cages, and public areas, sterilizing surgical equipment, and managing inventory to ensure proper stock levels.I work effectively with my colleagues and manage my time efficiently to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, take initiative, and remain resilient under pressure. I was a teaching assistant and peer mentor for the Hullabaloo U program at Texas A&M University across three Fall semesters.My roles included:•Creating and executing at least one lesson plan•Meeting with each student (about 30 per class) at least once during the semester to discuss and monitor college transition techniques.•Updating the class modules and grading student assessments through Canvas•Ensuring students feel welcomed and knowledgeable about the A&M community and how to handle college.This position enhanced my leadership skills and interpersonal skills; it most notably allowed for me to understand the importance of relationships when it comes to making a difference. This position was made to promote a more manageable transition for college freshmen, which meant that my role was to be available as a resource for them. During my 1v1 meetings with each student, I experienced a wide range of personalities that I had to tailor my communication styles for. The meetings allowed me to make the students feel like I was their advocate/friend, which meant they were more comfortable asking me for advice.

I was a server/waitress at a popular local restaurant that would host many live music shows. It was a fast-paced environment that emphasized on your abilities to stay organized. The position also utilized and enhanced my inter-personal skills.
